Support VAMMR In Land Rover’s ‘Defender Service Awards’

We’re excited to share that the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Mammal Rescue Society (VAMMR) is a finalist for Land Rover’s Defender Service Awards in the Animal, Wildlife, and Marine Mammal Welfare category.

With your help, VAMMR could win a Land Rover Defender and $30,000 USD — resources that will strengthen our ability to reach remote rescue sites, transport life-saving equipment, and save more marine mammals in distress.

Winning is determined by votes! You can vote every day now through Oct 19.

Please Note: You may vote once per day per category until the close of voting on October 19, 2025, at 11:59pm ET. Invalid email addresses will be disqualified. Subject to the complete Official Rules available here.

  1. Repost from our channels on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X and TikTok starting October 3rd, 2025. Be sure to tell people why they should vote for VAMMR and why it is important to you!
  2. Create your own posts using our downloadable assets below. Copy and paste the text in “What to say” for some inspiration. Use the hashtag #DefenderServiceAwards and tag @vammrs.

Rally your community to vote every day! Print a poster for your lunchroom or hallway, share the link in daily announcements, or post it on a community board.

  • Create a group chat to remind friends and colleagues to vote each morning.
  • Ask local businesses to start their shift with a quick vote.
